This balanced red is medium- to full-bodied, offering a pretty range of baked black raspberry and black cherry fruit layered with firm tannins that lend a chewy plushness to the wine’s texture on the palate. Aromatic hints of iron, dried herb, citrus peel and spice play on the taut and chewy finish. Drink now through 2028. 1,500 cases made, 500 cases imported.
The Catabbo company was founded in 1990 thanks to an inspired intuition on the part of Vincenzo, who decided to dedicate himself to viticulture, rediscovering the importance of the heritage of indigenous Molise cultivars.
