An aromatic red that leads with pleasing spice and mocha notes that suggest a weighty red to follow, while instead this offers a richly concentrated range of crushed black raspberry and black cherry fruit, dried thyme, tar and red licorice set in an elegant, medium- to full-bodied form. Fresh and chewy on the lasting finish. Drink now through 2032.
The winery was born in Grotte near Agrigento. In 1989, Antonio, with his sons decided to vinify his own grapes using the knowledge gained over five generations as grape-growers. The project of the family has been to concentrate their work on the production of wines made from Nero d’Avola the only endemic grape variety of great importance in Sicily, which the Morgante family has always grown.
