90% Negroamaro, 10% Malvasia Nera di Lecce
A round, medium- to full-bodied red, revealing rich flavors of plum sauce, date and dark chocolate enlivened by juicy acidity. Shows a rich base note of loamy earth, with hints of tar, dried sage and spices lingering on the chewy finish. Drink now through 2027.
The winery founded in 1665 is located in Salice Salentino and began bottling in 1925.In 1943 Five Roses was born, the first rosé wine to be bottled in Italy The red Salice Salentino followed in 1954 and, largely thanks to the work carried out by the company, the Salice Salentino DOC was born in the early 1970s. The company presents today a varied range of wines exported across the world.
