An elegant red, with an enticing nose of ripe fruit and floral accents, as well as a tang of iron-laced minerality that underscores flavors of ripe black raspberry and cherry fruit, star anise and Earl Grey tea. Medium- to full-bodied and well-knit, sleek, fine-grained tannins emerge to firm the lasting finish. Hard to stop sipping, but should expand nicely with even short-term cellaring. Drink now through 2030.
The Allegrini family has played a leading role in the history of Fumane and Valpolicella Classica since the sixteenth century and has handed down the culture of the vine and wine ever since. The corporate legacy of Giovanni Allegrini passed into the hands of the new generations: his son and daughter, Franco and Marilisa, together with his niece Silvia, the daughter of his late son, Walter.
