A mix of pure cherry and cigar humidor aromas lead off, with the cherry theme continuing, supported by rosemary, iron and tar flavors. Big, burly tannins line the finish and should carry this wine for another few decades. Drink now through 2040. 900 cases made, 200 cases imported.
Fattoria Poggerino, now in its third generation, is a small, family-run winery, with every step from the vineyards to the wine making to marketing carried out by the owners. Poggerino produces approximately 65.000 bottles of wine per year from grapes grown exclusively on the estate, with our Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva made from 100% Sangiovese.
