Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Paganelli Riserva 2004
Offers ripe blueberry notes, with hints of violet, lilac and sandalwood. Full-bodied, with supersilky tannins and a long, fresh finish. Not a big wine, but balanced and pretty. Drink now.
Tenuta Il Poggione was founded at the end of the 1800 and is one of the founding families of Brunello. It now covers about 600 hectares, of which 140 are planted with vineyards and the rest is olive trees, grains and forest. The farming is sustainable, harvest is manual and the aging for the Brunello di Montalcino is traditional, in 3000 and 5000 litres French oak barrels.
