A beam of pure cherry acts as a beacon in this complex, elegant red. Flavors of floral, wild herbs, tar and tobacco play supporting roles. Firm and even a tad dry in the end, but this is headed in a good direction in terms of freshness and fruit. Drink now through 2040.

Borgogno is the most historical winery in Barolo, since 1761. Wines are made in full respect of tradition: spontaneous fermentation in concrete, long aging in large Slavonian oak barrels. The vineyards are cultivated in Barolo for single-vineyards Barolo wines and Barolo Riserva; in Madonna di Como and Colli Tortonesi for the Timorasso. Since 2019 organic farming certificated.
