This is rich and dense, yet also racy, evoking cherry, plum, tar and eucalyptus flavors, with a thread of mineral underscoring it all. Shows fine length and intensity, and there’s ample fruit to match the spine of tannins, but needs time. Drink now through 2045. 185 cases imported.
Bruno Giacosa’s winemaking philosophy combines the respect for traditional winemaking with selected use of modern technology to obtain the best expression of each vineyard’s terroir. He thought that great wines originate in the vineyard. In the cellar, the goal is to produce a wine that maintains its identity from vine to bottle in full respect of grape’s typical characteristics.
