This fresh red balances firm tannins with layers of tarry mineral and flavors of steeped black cherry, raspberry coulis, grilled mint, thyme, anise and spiced plum. An expressive style, featuring lots of stuffing in an elegant package. Drink now through 2030. 1,183 cases made, 75 cases imported.
Masi is a leading producer of Amarone and has always passionately interpreted the values of the Venetian regions. The story begins in 1772, the date of the first harvest of the Boscaini family in the exquisite vineyards of the “Vajo dei Masi”, a valley in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica. Masi has recognized expertise in the Appassimento technique and is one of the historical interpreters of Amarone.
