A graceful, medium- to full-bodied red, with a deep, minerally core of iron and smoke notes, wrapped in aromas and flavors of dried red currant, orange peel, medicinal herbs and anise. Taut tannins firm the finish, which shows more smoke and spice. Drink now through 2026. 8,000 cases made, 1,000 cases imported.
In 1857 Bertani brothers founded the winery: they were among the first to introduce monoculture vineyards and bottle their own wine to ensure quality. Today at Bertani we do what the brothers did then, that is, we make wines that are recognizable and have an identity, wines with a clear stylistic profile that makes them unmistakable. We have always chosen the path of terroir wines.
